The Tanzania Geological Society announces TGS 2023 Annual Conference, which will be having a leading theme

Accelerating Blue Economy from Geosciences Perspective

Sub themes:

1. Tanzania Mining Sector Expansion from Gold to Strategic Minerals.
2. Geotechnical Application in Petroleum, Mining, and Construction.
3. Contribution of Water to the National Economy.
4. Sustainable Coastal and Marine Tourism.
5. Deep Sea Resources, Exploration, and Development in Tanzania.
6. Green Energy Potentials, Development, and Technologies.

This year’s conference is expected to present geoscientists with an unparalleled experience in discussing urgent and crucial geoscientific issues, and networking

November 2023. The exact dates will be communicated in the second secular.

The conference will be held in Zanzibar , the island of spices. The conference venue will be communicated in the second secular.

We invite ABSTRACTS for ORAL and POSTER presentations that will fit to the main theme or Sub-themes of the conference. Abstracts can be submitted via TGS email (info@tgs.or.tz).

During submission of abstracts, authors should indicate their preference of either oral or poster presentation. For poster presentation, the recommended size for posters is A0 (Portrait; Width 841 x Height 1189 mm).

Everyone opting for poster presentation will be assigned a space for display of his or her poster.

Registration and payment procedures will be communicated shortly.
